Large Timbers

Joe Birkner Lumber has large timbers. We stock Southern Yellow Pine of grade # 2 and better, cedar, and other species construction grade. Timbers can also be custom selected for higher grade (meaning more strength) or better appearance. Large timbers are full-size but can be milled smooth or custom cut as required.

Ask about our Certified Timber 30 - Year Warranty. Certified Timbers are the only timbers in the nation that are warranted against rot and decay for 30 years. Certified Timbers are excellent for house pilings.

Creosote Posts, Poles and Timbers

Creosote posts, poles, and timbers treated to 8lb retention for industrial and commercial use are available in stock.

Please note there is currently an industry-wide shortage on creosote treated wood caused by the shortage of a coal-derived product used to produce creosote. Joe Birkner Lumber recommends using CCA pressure treated poles, posts, and timbers as an alternative to creosote.
